Why American Top Universities Reject iPad

It’s been reported that American top universities George Washington University, Princeton University and Cornell University have rejected the iPad. Why?

The network stability problems are the main reason why two universities don’t want to use Apple’s iPad. George Washington University and Princeton University have already refused to use this device. At the same time Cornell University still hesitates, but mentions the connectivity troubles as well.

According to George Washington University, the iPads used a leased IP address beyond the time these devices should while establishing a connection to the university network. According to Princeton, the connection problem wasn’t a Wi-Fi issue.

According to Cornell, it also sees both network and connection issues. Right now it’s trying to figure out if iPad can leave any damage consequences to the university network.

At the time, Apple spokesmen say they aren’t familiar with the schools’ problems.
