To tell you the truth, till now I have met only grannies who were against new technologies such as computers and cell phones. Well, this woman from Lake Oswego easily uses iPad and finds this device a great thing even though she is… 99 years old!

Being 99 years old, Virginia Campbell loves reading using the iPad.

The woman has glaucoma that made it difficult for her to read library books. She says there isn’t enough contrast between the large-print and the page. Virginia writes books, and she wants to read what she has written.

So her family bought her an iPad, and this device made it much easier for Virginia to read books. The type jumps out at the 99-year-old woman opening up the world of books to her again.

You can watch a video of Virginia reading on the iPad posted by Campbell’s son-in-law. So far it was viewed by almost 40 thousand people!

Virginia enjoys The iPad so much she even composed a poem about this device:

“To this technology-ninny it’s clear

In my compromised 100th year,

That to read and to write

Are again within sight

Of this Apple iPad pioneer.”

We are never too old to take some advantage. Campbell is sure in this, and she proves she is right!
