Geohot is Working on a New Jailbreak – Limera1n?

Rumors say that Geohot, the famous iPhone hacker, is currently working on a new jailbreak tool called Limera1n.

According to several sources, Geohot has registrated a new domain named Limera1n. This domain whois record shares the same record as Blackra1n domain that surely belongs to Geohot. The record also confirms that Limera1n domain was registered by Geohot in the end of March.

The whois record says that the new domain was last updated two weeks ago. Approximately at that same time Geohot jailbroke the new iPhone OS 4 making it a successful jailbreak.

It’s difficult to confirm this rumors because Geohot himself is silent about it. But the Limera1n icon reminds the Blackra1n raindrop but with a lime color.

It’s unclear if the Limera1n will perform the jailbreak for all devices including iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. Maybe this tool will jailbreak only the upcoming iPhone OS 4? We’ll post new information as soon as it is available.
