iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 3 is Released

iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 3 version is released today by Apple to help developers with their work. New firmware and SDK is available at the iPhone Developer Center.

The build number for the 4.0 SDK is 10M2247 and the build number for the 4.0 firmware is 8A260b.

Developers can download the Beta 3 version of iPhone OS 4.0 for the following devices: iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 2G, and iPod touch 3G.

The other great news is that Apple has exposed File Sharing capabilities in its new beta of iPhone 4.0. So now you are able to transfer files to and from the iPhone though your computer. All you have to do is to plug the gadget into iTunes, go to the Apps site and drag files to and from your mobile device and PC.

Besides this, you can close multitask-applications much easier now. There is no need to press and hold on every icon. Just press and hold once, and the apps you choose will quickly close.
