A lot of Apple products have been introduced for the past several years.  With the technology ever changing for the better, different kinds of electronic gadgets are being released every once in a while.  One of them is the Apple iPhone.  When it came out in the market, its release was phenomenal because of the number of people that want to acquire one.  Now every type of mobile phone users has his own iPhone.  Some might think that this is just an ordinary mobile phone with an MP3 player, well it's a lot more than that!  Iphone was built for different types of users with different types of need.  Its not only having that matters, what matters is how well you know how to properly use your iPhone.  Here are some information about it that might come in handy.

1. Is It Safe to Shake

Why shake your iPhone?  Well, that is one unbelievable feature of the iPhone.  Just shake it to share photos, shuffle songs or undo paste or mostly anything that supports the shake feature.  Yes, it is safe to shake it, but be sure that there is no rattling sound when you do it.  But is its rattling, better take it back to the store and have it checked.

2. Sleep Timer

Are you one of those who puts in their earphones and listen to their iPod before going to sleep?  Well, this feature is for you.  Most of the time, we doze off and fall into the deep abyss of sleep and forgetting to turn off the iPod, resulting to a dead battery when you wake up. One useful feature is the sleep timer on the iPod, where in you can set the timer to sleep so it will automatically turn off after a certain time.

3. Safari Pocket Guide

When something goes wrong with your iPhone while your out and you worry about not having a user's guide with you, don't fret!  Its because you are carrying the user's guide just inside your pocket!  In here you will know what do to if your iPhone suddenly stops working or if you want to use a certain feature.  It's basically a convenient way to get to know your iPhone.

4. Screen Snapshot

Ever wonder how other iPhone users can take snapshots of a certain application?  Well, I cannot blame you since this feature is extremely hard to discover. This feature does not have to have an application installed, all you need are knowledge, push buttons and email from Camera Roll.

Here's how:

(a) go to the page or application of the iPhone that you want to take a screen snapshot of so you'll see the image of.  You can also type instructions if t you are the image you taking a snapshot of contains texts.

(b) this feature does not need any additional application installed.  It is already built in to iPhone software version 2.x.  Just press and hold the “Home” button then press and release the “Sleep” button.  The iPhone will “flash” white and the image will be added to the camera roll on the iPhone.

( c) navigate to the iPhone “Camera Roll” application and the image that you took is already saved.  It is in jpg format and a high-quality image.  Now you can upload it on your website or blog and may come in handy.

5. Silent Mode

Have you ever been embarrassed when you are in a meeting or in a church and your phone suddenly rings and you panic because you do not know how to silence it while ringing?  One of iPhone's many features is turning it to silent mode while it is ringing.  What it takes is just a simple flip of a switch just above the volume control and below the phone's corner.   You can also use the vibrate function so you will not miss any important calls while it is on silent mode.

6. Saving Images From Email Attachments

Just like in Safari, you can also save the photos that you receive from your email. Save the photo attachments to your Camera Roll.  Simply press an image with your fingers for a few seconds and a menu comes out giving you options what to do with the image.  It's just that easy.

7. Slide To Unlock

What can you do if your phone is on the lock screen?  You can either play a song or even receive calls while it is locked.   You can leave the interface blank or you can customize the setting of the lock screen.

8. Open Multiple Webpages

With the Safari, you can open up to 8 pages at a time.  This is possible with the firmware version 3.0 on iPhone.  It's as simple as tapping buttons to open a new page.  If several pages are open, just tap the pages icon that you want to see and just flick left and right to choose the page.  The pages icon also shows how many pages are open.

9. iPhone Not Responding

Not all mobile phones are perfect, even the mighty iPhone.  Have you ever experience your iPhone hang or simply not doing anything while you are in the middle of something?  Your iPhone may be low on power.  Try charging it or if it does not help, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds and watch if it will respond to it.  If it still does not respond, try turning it off and on.  If all else fail, it is time to reset your iPhone.

10. Tap To The Top

Isn't it annoying when we have to scroll all the way up of the screen?  Good thing the iPhone has a feature that you can just tap the top of the page and presto, you will be back on top.  You can do this on any application that needs scrolling.
